The closing stretch of the walk follows a path along the river with small boats moored close to the bank. To our right is a substantial, empty grassed reserve, where irresponsible handlers have been known to slip the lead.

Those of us who decline the invitation lead our dogs on the straight and narrow until arriving at Jo-Jo's Fish restaurant This is the terminal of the walk, although hardy souls will let their dog's lead them to the expansive playing fields downriver. Therein lies another classic walk.
